David is Head of Leisure and Hospitality within our Corporate and Sector Risks practice. Admitted as a solicitor in 1987 and joining Keoghs in 2018. he is a senior liability lawyer with over 30 years’ experience of major employers' liability and public liability claims, including many often quoted cases within textbooks. David has also led a leisure client’s defence of a large illness outbreak, resulting in a 219 claimant class action, which was the first UK land-based large class action successfully defended, resulting in multi-million pound savings for the client.

He has successfully defended many oft quoted Court of Appeal cases in the leisure and hospitality sector regarding duties under the Occupier’s Liability Act, notably Laverton v Kiapasha, Marsden v Bourne Leisure, Tedstone v Bourne Leisure and Gallagher v Haven Leisure.
