Extending Fixed Recoverable Costs

02/04/2019

On 28 March 2019, the Ministry of Justice released a consultation on the extension of Fixed Recoverable Costs in Civil Cases.

The proposal appears to take forward the recommendations put forward in 2017 by Lord Justice Jackson, who advocated a standard grid of fixed recoverable costs for all fast-track cases.

The consultation will remain open until 6 June 2019. We have produced a client alert summarising the details and possible implications.
