The Keoghs fraud team’s ongoing successes are highlighted this autumn in three episodes of the BBC series, Claimed and Shamed.

Head of Casualty Fraud, Nina Dayal, has already appeared in series seven of the documentary program, which highlights the continuing issues and successful cases surrounding insurance fraud.

Nina screened on 19th October discussing a fraudulent tripping claim which was successfully defended with insurer, Allianz. To watch her debut on the show, click here.

Keoghs have two further appearances in Series 8 which starts this week on BBC1, with Head of Fraud Rings, Ruth Needham, and Associate, Hamida Khatun discussing key cases.

Hamida’s case airs on Tuesday 8th November and centres around investigations with Churchill Insurance which led to four fraudsters being sentenced to a combined 24 months for a crash for cash scam.

Ruth then appears on Friday 11th November, discussing a major fraud ring investigation in conjunction with Direct Line Group which resulted in a successful tort of deceit action against 29 defendants who committed a total of nine fraudulent road traffic accidents.

Director of Counter-Fraud Strategy, James Heath, commented:

“It is fantastic to see three of our high profile cases being selected for this current run of Claimed and Shamed. The appearances certainly underline our ongoing success across all areas of insurance fraud; from tripping claims and crash for cash schemes, through to large-scale fraud rings.”
