Chris Wilson
Biography
Chris is instructed to defend abuse claims on behalf of a variety of clients including insurers, religious organisations, charities, schools and sporting clubs. He also advises clients on related issues including policy coverage and has been extensively involved in the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (‘IICSA’).
Chris’ experience includes high-profile work in relation to claims concerning abuse in football, not only on claims against individual clubs but also in advising clubs in connection with their obligations to the Independent Football Review.
Notable cases include: London Borough of Haringey v FZO [2020] EWCA Civ 180; EXE v The Governors of the Royal Naval School [2020] EWHC 596 (QB); and DSN v Blackpool Football Club Limited [2020] EWHC 595 (QB).
