Phil studied at Exeter University before being called to the bar in 2009 and then cross-qualifying as a solicitor in 2013. He spent several years working in private client work for a high street law firm covering a wide range of general litigation issues. He moved into the insurance sector in 2017 and joined Keoghs in 2020, becoming an Associate in 2021 and a Partner in 2025.
Phil has extensive experience in all levels of property damage recovery work, as well liability and indemnity issues. He has a particular interest in claims involving recoveries as between Landlords and Tenants and complex lease structures. Phil is also part of the firms Climate Change Special Interest Group and often deals with claims involving weather related damage.
