From starting out as a 19 year old whose first job was photocopying, faxing and putting up post, my career at Keoghs so far has seen me progress through a variety of roles.
Over the years I have been fortunate enough to work with extremely talented lawyers who helped me develop my own skills as I progressed through the firm. With their support I was able to obtain my degree, secure a training contact, qualify as a solicitor and then achieve associateship. I have benefited greatly, learning from others the core fundamentals and intricacies of running civil litigation cases from a legal, practical and commercial perspective; forging successful relationships with clients and perhaps more pertinently in recent times, learning to embrace change in what is a very different environment from when I first started out 17 years ago.
I now work in the complex injury department, running a caseload of my own files and assisting on claims which deal with catastrophic brain and spinal injuries. I continue to benefit from the guidance of experienced colleagues and take advantage of a cross-department enthusiasm to share knowledge of the law. The journey doesn’t stop here and I continue on to progress my career path – every day is a school day!
