I really enjoy the work that we do and find it rewarding seeing how cases progress, knowing that I continue to play a part throughout the life of each case I work on.
I joined Keoghs Complex Injury team in Southampton in June 2020 after completing my BPTC in 2019. I had gained an interest in the area of personal injury in my previous role however I didn’t have any experience of complex injury claims prior to joining Keoghs. I have been and continue to be well supported in my role by my colleagues and the business as a whole and in turn have been able to assist on and experience complex injury claims of varying value.
I find that I learn and develop well by having a go at a task myself, discussing it with a colleague after and then applying the feedback and the experience gained during that task to future tasks. I am actively encouraged to take this approach and consequently I have been able to develop my knowledge and confidence in this interesting area of law.
I really enjoy the work that we do, as well as being able to see how cases progress and find it rewarding knowing that I continue to play a part in this throughout the life of each case I work on. As a result of this and the supportive environment here at Keoghs I have decided to qualify as a solicitor in the Complex Injury team rather than pursuing a career at the bar. I am looking forward to starting my apprenticeship with Keoghs in January 2022.
Patrick Driscoll, Team Leader
I started at Keoghs in January this year, and have been immediately impressed with the collaborative and welcoming culture here.
