"Since then, we have seen a 'cottage industry' develop into a complex, enterprising and organised market place, with over half a million claims per annum, and individual companies generating in excess of £100 million in combined turnover.
"With the looming referral fee ban on personal injury cases soon to take effect, shifting the legal landscape once more, and an increase in the small claims limit, the role of credit hire in our industry is once again a point of significant importance."
