For many in the industry the names Don Clarke and Keoghs are synonymous. Don has been part of the Keoghs family for 37 years and is today retiring to get some well-earned R&R. He joined the firm in September 1985 as a trainee solicitor and has played a significant role in the journey which has seen Keoghs grow from a firm of just eight partners back in ’85 to its position today with a turnover of £120m and in Don’s words ‘ too many partners to count’.
During his career Don has been president of FOIL and has proved a great source of sage advice and support to colleagues, whilst clients have always listened to his thoughts on the current state and future of the market, seeking his counsel regularly. He has always embodied the Keoghs values - knowledgeable, approachable and with our clients’ needs at heart.
The first to get involved in any charitable activities and legendry host of the annual Keoghs quiz, during his well-deserved retirement Don will become a Trustee of Bolton-based homeless charity Urban Outreach and governor of a local school.
Whilst Don won’t be a regular fixture in the office anymore he will continue to support Keoghs on a consultancy basis on specific projects.
