Keoghs, has today announced the launch of a new office in Italy, along with the appointment of Mauro Modica.
Mauro, a highly experienced litigator, joins Keoghs from DWF to lead its new Italian legal services offering. He will be based at the firm’s Milan office, which is also the headquarters of the Davies’ Italian claims operation. Launched in October 2024, the existing claims centre provides third party administration for claims and loss adjusting solutions for the Lloyd’s of London Market, as well as Italian and global insurers. with operations in Italy.
The addition of a dedicated Italian legal outpost, marks a significant milestone in Davies’ expansion across Europe. Building on its existing Italian claims operation, led by Director, Enrico De Micco - this launch enables the firm to deliver a comprehensive end-to-end suite of services to insurance clients, combining expert claims handling with specialist legal insight, tailored to the local market.
Mauro brings over 11 years of experience in advising national and international insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as Lloyd’s of London Syndicates, on a wide range of strategic, regulatory and operational matters. He has expertise in handling complex claims in respect of Directors and Officers Liability Insurance, Professional Indemnity, Warranty and Indemnity, Property and Casualty and Medical Malpractice lines of business. In his new role, Mauro will be instrumental in growing Keoghs’ Italian legal team and enhancing the firm’s capabilities in this space.
