There are 13 MHFA’s across Keoghs. They are here to support all of our colleagues regardless of location or team and have all been trained as someone our colleagues can speak to if they ever experience mental health issues or emotional distress.
Keoghs mental helath first aiders will listen to them and signpost them to a wide range of internal and external resources. Our aim is to assist our colleagues in focussing on your self-care and help them to take control of and manage their mental health and wellbeing.
Each first aider has completed mental health training to aid them in managing their own and their colleague's mental health. What does the training cover?
Our mental health first aiders are only a phone call away. They are here to help and will do what they can to set our colleagues on their journey to good mental health.

I work in the Costs department, as at the time of writing this bio. I have worked for Keoghs since September 2005.
My reason(s) for becoming a MHFA are that I believe positive mental health is just as important as physical health, in both your personal and work life and we should not be afraid to speak about it and seek help if we need to. I wanted to learn the skills and have the tools to be able to identify and support colleagues with their mental health.
Apprentice Solicitor and Credit Hire Associate
I work in Tactical Credit Hire and joined Keoghs in February 2017. I wanted to become a Mental Health First Aider so I can provide assistance to colleagues within the business and be a point of contact for issues that could be difficult to speak to HR or management about.
Partner - Business Unit Director – Complex Injury
I work in Complex Injury Claims but having been at Keoghs for over 20 years, I have worked in many business units over the years. I was keen to become a trained MHFA so that I could be there when someone really needs someone to talk to, needs support, requires help or just somebody to listen.
