Chris is instructed by a variety of clients to defend several different claim types, including abuse and social care, failure to educate, defamation, misfeasance in public office, battery, assault, false imprisonment (unlawful detention), offender lost property and malicious prosecution claims. His clients include various schools, local authorities, insurers, religious organisations, charities and sporting clubs as well as police authorities and offender service providers. He also regularly advises his clients on related issues including policy coverage and Independent Inquiries and has been extensively involved in the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (‘IICSA’) and Clive Sheldon QC’s Independent Inquiry into Historic Child Sexual Abuse in Football.
