Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) failure to recall faulty cars condemned.

The widely reported inquest into the road death of Narayan Gurung, a Gurkha veteran, took place at Woking Coroner’s Court.  

The coronial investigation and Coroner’s conclusions led to BMW (UK) Limited recalling 370,000 potentially dangerous vehicles. In addition, a wide ranging Regulation 28 Prevention of Future Death Report heavily criticised the DVSA and recommended root and branch reform of how vehicle safety defects are investigated.
