Professional and Financial Services

Providing clients with a highly personalised, efficient and cost-effective claims service

We handle the defence of professional indemnity claims for insurers, reinsurers and financial institutions against a wide range of professional advisers including accountants, those working in the IT, construction, and veterinary industries. Our expertise covers areas including D&O, pension trustee, employment practices, and general civil liability.

Keoghs focuses on resolving claims and disputes in the most timely and cost-effective way while enabling clients to maintain their commercial relationships. Where possible, we also work closely with insurers, professionals and brokers to prevent a problem from turning into a claim, advising insurers and reinsurers on all aspects of policy coverage. We handle litigated and pre-litigated claims, arbitrations, adjudications and complaints, including those to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Our market-leading (re)insurance contract wording and drafting team deal with the full range of work in this area. From revisions and updates to specific clauses, to drafting wordings from scratch, and undertaking wholesale reviews of (re)insurers’ product lines.  We are regularly instructed to work with underwriters on innovation and product development, with in-house counsel on compliance issues and wordings professionals on drafting assignments.
