Keoghs are market-leading advisors in the defence of complex and catastrophic injury claims, dealing with over £1.5billion pounds’ worth of risk.

Our team has an exceptional track record in dealing with complex and catastrophic claims, whether they be EL, PL, Product or motor.

Our 150-strong team, including 25 partners, is based in seven locations across the UK, providing national coverage to a long list of major insurers, public bodies and corporate clients. Both the team and individual members within it are recognised as leaders in the field in Chambers and Legal 500.

We believe we are unique in having one team, not a collection of individuals. This promotes the sharing of information and practices and leads to a consistently high level of service provision as well as enhancing the team ethos within clients own teams.

Whatever the claim, our approach and philosophy does not change. To banish any notion of claims drift, our philosophy dictates that at the earliest stage post-instruction we will have in place a clear and realistic strategic case plan and a target resolution date. Such an approach ensures that issues are narrowed and lifecycles are reduced. We work collaboratively with our opponents seeking to achieve a fair outcome at the earliest possible opportunity.

Furthermore this not only enables us to deal with individual claims, but to look more widely to identify claim trends and opponents strategies to ensure clients have that insight at the earliest possible stage.

When combined with Keoghs’ reputation for innovation, knowledge from other specialist teams (such as motor crime, regulatory, costs, fraud or policy coverage), and our access to leading industry experts, Keoghs Complex & Catastrophic Loss team is a natural choice.

We cover the full range of complex and catastrophic injury claim and have recently launched five Special Interest Groups (‘SIGs’), made up of teams of leading experts from across our offices that focus on key injury groups within this sphere, with the dual aim of providing clients with the very latest insight and advice, and standardising and rationalising internal handling processes.
